12 Days of Birdwatching around Western Ukraine

The program ensures birdwatching during 12 days around Western Ukraine. Big variety of biotopes is a strong point of it.

If you need, the telescope and binocular could be provided.

Meals: breakfast, lunch boxes or regular lunch, dinner.
Transportation: minivan
Guides: English speaking guide-assistant and ornithologist.

The list is 190 species but depends on weather and season.

The program:

1st – 2nd day

Arrival. Birdwatching in two spots in Lviv, National Park of Roztochia and Cholginy Ornithological Reserve.

3rd day

Birdwatching in the upper meadow of The Dniester river. Uzhany National Park in Transcarpatians. Visit to primeval beech tree forest.

4th day

Birdwatching in Beregovo area. Owls and colony of Whiskered Tern.

5-6th day

Birdwatching in the Carpathian Mountains. The Carpathian Biosphere Nature Reserve. Primeval Pine tree forests and alpine fields.

7th-8th day

Birdwatching in Galych National Park. Step biotope. Burshtyn power station water reserve.

8-10th day

Birdwatching in Volynian region. Aquatic Warbler and Azur Tit. Shatsky Lakes National Park. The Prypyat river. Wetlands.

11th day

Return to Lviv. Departure

The program is available from March to October.
